DS 7 oil dipstick replacement
My DS 7 (2019 puretech 225) has an oil dipstick with a stupid orange plastic thing at the end instead of the classic metal. As a result, most of the time (clean oil etc) it is extremely hard to read. This was not a huge problem, until I started needing to add oil (about a litre every 1500 miles). As there is no actual leak, my garage told me I just have to monitor it. So the dipstick being so hard to read is becoming an inconvenience. I looked online (e.g. autodoc, euspares) and all the brands seem to be making them like the original for my car. Any ideas where to get a more readable replacement (hopefully not for a stupid expensive price).

Try a bit of white paint on the plastic.
