Xantia has to go - Ideas?

Sad to say but my 136,000 mile R reg Xantia 1.8LX Dimension 2 has to go. Too good to scrap (serviced and new exhaust yesterday, interior very clean and tidy, usual supermarket carpark damage to exterior) but brakes need replacing soon and tyres have only a couple of months left.
Ideas please for the best way (ie most cash for least hassle) to dispose of this. Trade in (I'll probably be buying something new but very small), private sale, Ebay, other?.

If you put it up on the automart here, you will be marketing the car to serious people who will offer a reasonable price if they want it. Dealers won't and I have heard that Ebay isn't a very reliable way of selling a car.
