Hi everyone!
I've got a problem with really high oil pressure on my DS4 with a 1.6 THP200 engine.
When I did some faultfinding one day I noticed that the engine had high oil pressure at idle and wasn't regulating the oil pressure with the oil pressure control valve, it was constantly in mechanical mode.
So I assumed the valve was faulty and decided to change the oil pump.
Now I've replaced the oil pump and it solved the problem with the valve, but I still have really high oil pressure. Even higher than before. Now the oil pressure can reach almost 10 bar.
When the valve is being regulated when engine oil is cold, 6 degrees C, the valve is working kinda erratic and with high oil pressure spikes. I can even hear the oil pump sounding quite strained when it reaches 10 bar.
Have anyone experienced something similar on these engines or have any bright ideas?
I'll attach a picture showing the pressure reference value and measured oil pressure.

I'd have to question the accuracy of the sensor now you've swapped the pump
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

So did I mick and swapped the sensor out for a new one;) No difference at all.
I've not yet tried to check the oil pressure with my analog gauges though.

I've sent Larsson a PM. Funnily enough it seems he's from Gothenburg as well. Must be a local phenomenon with a higher than usual atmospheric pressure which causes high oil pressure....
