Then I'd take it back to the dealer and get them to sort out the keys for you.

Try resynching the keys. Follow the procedure here at the end headed Reconnection:

You're going to have to dig about in your handbook to see if there's an option to change the way that the key buttons operate.

The very same happened to us with a 2022 C4.

I did all that you did, and in the end I found it was simply the main car battery low.
Everything else on car was unaffected, just neither key fob would function.
No error messages on dash or anything..

I had ours booked in also, months away and the alarm going off when the door was unlocked manually became an embarrassment.
So I needed to find a quicker solution..

I charged the main 12v battery up with a smart trickle charger, re-initialised the key to the steering column, then everything worked as normal.
Kept the car for almost year after and never had the key problem again.
Cancelled the dealership booking too.

Could be coincidence, but worth a simple try perhaps?

It is widely known that low main battery voltage / condition does cause some weird issues with PSA vehicles...

Has anyone been poking about in the fuse box? This sort of behaviour is what happens when the shunt fuse in the park position.
