Citroen C5 suspension working but very slowly

Unread post by XantiaNonStarter »

My Citroen 2007 C5 now takes ages to move between suspension positions. For example moving from the lowest position to the normal height takes 70s (It used to take 23s.) Could I ask, if this was your car what would you check first?

The battery is OK and I've gone through the LDS bleeding process.

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like a faulty pump to me? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I'm glad you said that. That's what I thought also so I took the pump of the car and opened up the electric motor. I was hoping to see gunk in the motor that I could clean out. However all the wiring looks really clean :-(

Rather than an electrical fault I was thinking a loss of pressure due to a leaky diaphragm or similar, I don't actually know the internals of the pump. :)
This video shows you the innards and there is a diaphragm and a number of seals involved but that's about all I can get from it!!
