Severn Trent Water

Yesterday morning about 8.15 got out of bed, into the bathroom, no water downstairs the phones ringing, "Hello this is Severn Trent, we have a problem in your area and we're investigating."
10.15 another call, "We have found the problem and working to fix it."
Neighbour arrives with a crate bottled water from Tesco for all in the Close, says half a mile away the road's flooded, a burst main.
4pm phone call again from Severn Trent "The problem has been fixed and your water is back on.
Now that's what I call service.

I have to agree there Gibbo, it's nice to know some water companies are on the ball!!

Although that's very much a good service from Severn Trent, it's actually what a standard service should look like. With any major issue like that - or a power cut or other such problem, the main thing is to keep the customers informed..... even if it's just to tell them "We're still working on it, but nothing has changed since the last update". Information is everything on these occasions.
