Hi all , non start on van . Codes p0215, p0686 ,p1169 and p0562. No power to fuses 5 and 10.
Turns over a few times and stops . I have swapped out the bsm with known working ones and the same symptoms. As usual a mobile auto electrician is unobtainable. Can anyone suggest where I should check next please . Battery seems to be powerful enough and ive put another fully charged one on to get the same symptoms. Hoping someone can help , thanks in advance.

Re: 2.0hdi non start
Assuming you are referring to the van in your signature, the first thing I'd look at, having swapped the BMS, would be the earthing points on the engine and gearbox. It looks like you are generally suffering low voltage at various points and with a good battery fitted the most likely cause is bad earthing.

Hi , yes sorry its the mk2 2.0hdi 2008.
Thanks for the reply . Will check out the earth's.
Would an ecu problem cause this power relay fault .

Re: 2.0hdi non start
ECU faults can manifest themselves in many ways unfortunately, so it always remains a possibility but check out the more tangible possibilities first and see how it goes. Once you are confident that all the earth points and connectors around the ECU and BMS are clean and corrosion free it may then be necessary for a deeper diagnostic look at the system.

Re: Re: 2.0hdi non start
I agree with mickthemaverick. Here's a great video on "How to perform a Starting System Voltage Drop Test"
In the video you can see that connections look factory but, when measured with a voltmeter while cranking, there is a large voltage drop which eats the power delivered to the starter.
You could also connect a jumper cable from the battery negative terminal to the engine block and try to start the engine. Does behaviour change? If so, this would also point to poor earth connections.
As micthemaverick says, once all these have been ruled out, only then begin ECU/BMS diagnostics.

Hi thanks for your reply
. Watched video and makes a lot of things clearer . It definitely looks like I have a draw of power somewhere in the system.
With the starter system drawing all the power and leaving none or 0.9volts available for the rest of the system?. Will have another look today and try the jumper lead test . Thanks again , will report back my findings.

Re: 2.0hdi non start
Hi
, tried the above and still no start . Same turns over for an exact time and stops . If I give power to fuse 5 it turns over as long as the key turned for . I'm thinking relay not supplying power to fuses 5 and 10 . A member called Dawn had this exact problem with same codes but unfortunately didn't report back to say how or if it was solved ?.
Thinking about swapping out the ecu and bsi etc .
Only worry is getting the pin for keys in future .
Obviously would need vin or would reg number do it ?. Been waiting on an auto electrician for a few days aswell but no show
Any ideas where to go from here ?
