Hi everyone this is my first post my 2025 Citroen c3 plus 4th generation is fitted with the Citroen connect app i have installed the connect one to my phone but it says there is no connect plus available for my vehicle even though Citroen advertised this service when I purchased the car i contacted Citroen with my vin number and they have informed me that my vehicle was built without the connect plus software due to shortages of the correct components and when available will be downloaded over the air to the car is any other owners in the same position thanks for your help

Have you been back to the supplying dealer to ensure that your car is on the list for upgrading? :)

Hi mick the Maverick i did contact the supplying dealership they didn't realize certain cars hadn't been fitted with all the software but Citroen are working on a software fix and are aware of the cars which need updating from their vin numbers apparently I will receive an email once the update has been downloaded to the car automatically over the air

I doubt it was shortage of 'components' in the physical sense, if it was an over the air update would involve a pidgeon with a part and a spanner. :-D I know that some C4 software updates were paused early this year because they caused problems so its likely that you will ge a new working version at some point. Is it just the connect plus to app component - do you have mapping on your version and if so do your connect plus map updates etc. all work?

EDIT: are you sure the Plus has connected services? Brochure suggests its just the Max. On my C4 I use android auto/google maps becsue its much better than the built in stuff, and if I need to remember where I've parked I hit 'remember parking' when google maps prompts me. That's all the phone app is useful for really, so youre not missing much.

If its a major firmware update you will get an on screen message saying something like 'install now'. Don't say yes unless you are at home with a cup of coffee at hand, you can't drive during the update and it can take 30 minutes. On my C4 I got a message just as I was driivng on to a Eurotunnel train - a very bad place to say "yes" so I said no and did it at home the next day. You can see pending updates in the menu - settings - system if I recall, or similar.

Of more importance, as you are in the UK I assume its a RHD car. Citroen recalled a large batch because the brake pedal box wasn't fitted to the body properly. If yours hasn't been done, you can try the .gov website because its a safety recall, its the same bit that does MOT history, scroll down, or call your dealer.

Heres a news story.
