Hi. I have a 2018 Berlingo with 75 hp.
I’m wondering if anyone here can tell me if it has the same gearbox as the 99 hp version?
I looked up the part number for my gearbox (16 124 442 80) as well as the part number for a 99 hp gearbox (16 099 833 80).
At first, I thought they had different gear ratios, but after a bit of Googling, I came across a post here saying that …442 80 is the newer version of …833 80. Since both cars I checked are from 2018, that doesn’t quite make sense to me.
I’m therefore a bit unsure what’s actually correct, and I hope someone here can shed some light on it.
The reason I’m asking is that my gearbox has started acting up a bit (5th gear), and I’m looking for alternatives before it potentially breaks down.
Alternatively, if anyone knows, is it possible to replace just the 5th gear without dropping the gearbox?
And could you possibly change the gear ratio at the same time while doing it?

Highly unlikely that you can make any alterations without removing the gearbox!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

That sounds reasonable. It's only a thing i heard (that one can change the 5th gear from the side cover of the gearbox).
Anyways. Still wondering if anyone have any info regarding the ratios, and if the box is the same as the 99hp-version
