P1442 fault code open circuit

Hi All

Bit of history, C5 1.6Hdi on 2011 plate.
Refilled Eolys back in 2019 just before Covid, never managed to get ECU reset and then took car off the road in Covid time. Mileage post refill was about 6k max up until last week.

Come this July got the car back on the road again, new brakes all around, tires, new window mechanism, new SatNav display. Went through MOT no problem.

Come 4 weeks ago injector 4 gave up and got that replaced last week by RAC mobile mechanics. Whilst he was recoding injector he did an Eolys reset for me as well as he was in the system. He then said its showing the P1442 code open circuit but no EML or warning lights on dash.

Has anyone else experienced this happening after a Eolys reset or could he have dislodged something whilst stripping for injector replacement.
To top it all the gear linkage popped off the gear box 12 miles in to the post injector run so now is awaiting to go into a local garage mid January (earliest they could do).

I'm going to try and check the voltage to the pump if I can get access to the connections to start with over Xmas. I realise im possibly looking at £300+ to sort gear cable problems and if the additive pump has gone that's going to be pricy too i believe.

Car hasn't even done 100k miles yet and is nice to drive so I'm weighing up the in for a penny, in for a pound scenario,

Has anyone else had the pump open circuit problem after an Eolys reset,

A common problem with this code is the wiring connector to the pump corroding and breaking down. Check the connections and wiring before spending anything

Thanks Mick, planning to try and check that as long as I can get the car jacked up high enough to get access. When I topped fluid I had access to some hydraulic pump ramps which I don't have now.
