Hi everyone - I am new here!
I have a read a few different recommendations for the oil on these cars. Can anyone enlighten me? I think it's either a 0-30 or 5-30 Fully Synthetic, but I could be wrong? I want to get it right as I know it has a wet belt!
Also what would be the best oil filter, as again, there are so many options out there....
The Owners Manual seems to say ultimately the best is the Total Quartz INEO First 0W-30? But you can also use 10-40?! That's quite a significant change?!
Thank you all kindly in advance!

This engine being somewhat fragile I'd get the filter from a Citroen dealer to be safe.

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Whilst at the dealer get an up to date service schedule printout which lists the oil spec needed since these often get changed based on engine problems. Sump plug washers are cheaper at dealers than elsewhere so something else to buy.
At 10 years old the timing belt is due for replacement if not already done with it being a wet belt.

Yes I have been reading about the timing belt. I did get a recall letter about a software update that it supposedly needs - does anyone know about this at all?? Also is the job a service centre job rather than attempting it at home??
Many thanks in advance

Your recall letter should have a recall code which can be searched on and put on here so others can probably let you know what it involves. If it is an old recall it might be to do with the timing belt so I would wait before doing any diy oil changes. The recall can only be done by a dealer and will not cost you anything.
