I have bit strange fault that thecar is not detecting if any of the doors is open.
Background: my car has factory fitted Webasto and there is aftermarket timer set installed afterwards. Timer set includes water circulation pump. One wire goes to BSI and when this is grounded the climate control goes to heating position. This was grounded by own relay, but I simplified wiring and connected this wire to same relay what is grounding water pump. No I have bad feelings that there has been +12 V thru the water pump to the BSI and this has made some bad things to BSI.
I have Diagbox and I have checked that door status is always closed for every door. Everything else is working correctly as far as I have noticed.
BSI swap is quite complicated task? I just wondered that maybe it is possible to try to fix this BSI, because it seems that the problem is not that big. I have looked at the schematic diagrams and I know where these door signals are located at connectors. Does anyone have any experience with repairing BSIs? There is plenty of second hand BSIs available so maybe it is possible to buy one of these and harvest some spares? I hope that there is some IC between connections and controller IC or something similar. I am quite familiar with electronics.
Any help is appreciated and there is any way to get right part number for my car I will be more than happy to get that
