Hi all
I have a 66 plate Citroen Berlingo 1.6hdi Adblue 8v
I recently had my cambelt strip teeth which I've posted about before. The van starts and drives fine but has no power so I decided to do a compression test.
My values for the cylinders are 230 - 240psi. The engine was cold when I did the test as I currently can't start it as I have a lot of things disconnected.
I've read that the values should be 300 - 400 psi but can't find a specific value and obviously every engine will vary.
So I guess my question is are my values acceptable? If not what would be causing the low compression on all cylinders equally?
Thanks in advance

Possibly it is not turning over fast enough to give a good reading.

Look through my older posts and you'll find tables of multiple compression tests against a roughly 110k mile engine.
Of course, there is variance between test gauges, etc., so bear that in mind. Take out all the glowplugs when testing.
