hi all got a mk1 2003 2.0 hdi c5 vtr now this might be a weird question but has 2 parts
1 my hasnt got 5 spheres but 4 but still has adjustment switch and snow mode and sports mode which works but thought there meant to have 5 spheres is this correct?
2 using lexia 7.02 found suspion function but theres no button or function tab to depressiure but it is working ok suspion is good every now and then getting a popping over certain bumps but what bugs me is the bsi cant or wont tell the suspion to depressure any ideas ?

Re: c5
If someone swapped the height control switch for a version with the sports button in it, the button will operate, light up, lexia will see it … but it makes no difference to the suspension at all, because yes - you need additional spheres for that.notinserviceuk wrote: 29 Nov 2025, 19:33 hi all got a mk1 2003 2.0 hdi c5 vtr now this might be a weird question but has 2 parts

Re: c5
This is the only sport switch on a mk1 c5 that I’m familiar with - in between the height adjustment buttons. Lights up orange when selected.

Re: c5
That switch is 'sport' mode for the gearbox only. It does not put the suspension into 'sport' mode - entirely separate.notinserviceuk wrote: 30 Nov 2025, 20:21 thats not my switch this is mine is auto which has just below the auto stick snow and sports mode together
The suspension 'sport' mode on that gen of C5 is always via the switch in the height selector that I posted there and works in the way I described.

Re: c5
Those are just for the auto gearbox as already mentioned. Has nothing to do with the suspension. Also your C5 has an older suspension system which can not be depressurised with Diagbox of Lexia. That’s applicable to the C5 X7, not to a C5 from 2003.

Re: c5
I assume, as my experience is with the Xm, Ds (and C6) it’s like the Xm. The HD regulator has a nut with spanner size 12 which you losen a bit. Don’t remove it completely as there is a small ball under spring load behind it which will escape and will be impossible to find back. Put the car in the low position first. Make sure your are not under the car when doing this unless the car is up on ramps or over a pit.
