Halfords silicone wipers dont fit J hook type arms

I thought I would try Halfords silicone wipers today. I used their checker and bought the recommended blade for my registration number. The blade comes with 3 plastic adapters labelled A, B and C. There is no guidance in the pack but refers to an online guide. That guide is generic only, with no mention of which adapter to use. Hopeless. As it happens, none of the adaptors fit my original J hook style wiper arms, so Halfords are being deceitful. A big waste of time.
But it just reinforces my general policy to avoid Halfords....this time I was weak!!! And Halfords make it difficult to leave a review unless you give them your email.

In general has anyone had experience of silicone blades?

I can't help there I'm afraid, I have always used Bosch Wiper blades on all my cars since I started driving and I've never had reason to change. I currently have Super Plus wipers on both cars and find them silent and a totally clean wipe.
