C3 Petrol misfire

Hi all, an update regarding misfire on C3 Picasso 1.6 petrol which brings on both the
engine management light and radiator fan. Removing the fan fuse clears the misfire.
Going through the routine of testing and replacing the usual suspect components including the timing chain. Non of these solved the fault. The misfire would occur once
the engine was warm and worse when the ambient temperature reached 22 degrees and above. Diagnostic testing did not confirm any positive faulty components. Nothing to loose the ambient temperature sensor in the door mirror was replaced which has rectified the fault !!!

Was the door mirror sensor giving wrong values that made you change it ?
