Hello!
My Xantia had this problem that it wont raise the rear, i pulled the lever several times and it finally raises the rear end, now it wont go down to the normal position and stays in the high mode.
I checked under the car and looked for the link for the rear height adjustment, (the little plastic part) and i see that it has come off.
I try to refit it and it snaps into place but as soon as i touch or start the car it comes loose again. I am wondering if the metal part is broken and if i can find these separate or need to buy the whole kit?
I took a picture of the plastic part.
Xantia rear suspension questions.

That is an interesting post, hopefully one or more of the Xantia experts on the forum will be able to help you out with that but not me I'm afraid. Good luck with it.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I would 1st check the height corrector is not seized....the "metal ball" can corrode and become smaller.........
The pivot pin on the height corrector looks horrible (rust because it has been "dry")

The height corrector is not seized, i can move it without bigger issue with a screwdriver. It is just that the "pin" in the plastic part wont stay in place, it snaps right in as it should. When i refit it the car went down to lowest mode but the slightest bump on the road it comes off again and goes to high mode.
Yeah the rust is there, but not as bad as it looks
(I only drive this one winter time)

Re: Xantia rear suspension questions.
Hi, you can see in the photo that the metal ball that the plastic link fits to has broken off from the lever. Never seen that before but I had one that was slightly loose in the past.
The metal ball is riveted in place and it would be barely possible to repair this in situ.
You might be able to find a replacement metal ball joint aftermarket and fit it to the hole in the lever. Perhaps can tap the hole to M6 and screw it in and a little tag of weld to lock it?
I replaced my plastic links with rose joints 5-6 years ago but that involved fully modifying the whole assembly. The photos might be on here somewhere.
Other option is to replacev the full height corrector cradle.

Re: Xantia rear suspension questions.
I have seen just the "stump" remaining on the Anti roll bar clamp/ball, the ball was still in the plastic it had just rusted off !!!
To me, it looks like it is time to.......the H-C/rods/plastics/ connections etc it all looks in need of clean/ refurbish/ refresh/ re-lube/protect to prevent problems that are just around the corner.

Re: Xantia rear suspension questions.
But what I mean is that this needs properly repaired, the metal ball is certainly stuck still in the plastic link but it has snapped out of the lever. Need to find a way to properly reattach the metal ball in that hole it has left.

Re: Xantia rear suspension questions.
It is I think "riveted".....the only way I can see to "fix it" is to weld it...requires removal of the HC I would think....a good time to refurbish/clean/paint/lubricate it
or
find a threaded pin/ball....Such as the ones for bonnet lift pistons...........tap the now vacant hole in the HC frame and screw in the pin/ball
