South Ayrshire calling.

A forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rabble already onboard. Not compulsory!
Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

South Ayrshire calling.

Unread post by Blackie27 »

Hello all.

I have just joined the forum and I am looking forward to engaging with and asking for expert advice when needed. I am a retired mechanical electrical engineer, although not in the automotive area, more factory, plant and building side. I however know my way around a car when it comes to maintenance, but when it comes to the in-depth stuff then that car the car guys expert areas
Although I did take out a gearbox out of a Austin Maxi, while it was parked in the parking bay outside our house, took it in the kitchen and stripped it down on the kitchen worktop, replaced some bearings and had in back in the car the next day, ready for work on the Monday, All with the only help from my 13yo daughter and a "Haynes Manual".
So I not afraid to get stuck in :-D

Cheers. Blackie27. (Ian)

Hello Ian. Welcome to the forum. Please look around as it's not all cars here.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

Hi Paul.
Thanks for the welcome.
I am looking forward to actively participating in the forums cars and everything else going on.
Had a couple of chuckles from the Jokes forum already.

Cheers.
Ian.

Thanks for the welcome Mickthemaverick.

Everything else I can do. :) Or at the very least give it a go.
