Glove box removal - Citroën C4 Grand Picasso

Unread post by Eadkrakka »

Hello!

After much research, I've concluded that the blower motor resistor has stopped working on my C4 Grand Picasso -15(LHD). Ordered a replacement, found a great how to-video on YouTube, and went to work trying to reach it. I am however struggling with removing the glove box. I've found the 3 plastic screws below, the three screws on the upper edge of the glove box, the bolt on the inner wall, as well as the screw below the airbag switch to the right of the glove box.

Even if I removed these screws the glove box wont come off. It comes "loose" but still hangs onto something towards the center console. As I don't want to break the plastic by sheer force, and running out of YT videos I turn to you guys. Anyone familiar with this procedure that could help me out so I don't break it? It is so frustrating that I can literally see the part I want to replace through the holes in the back wall of the glove box, but I can't reach it... 😅

IIRC Once you have removed all the screws the box is left hanging on the safety pegs which you have to pop out with a trim tool. Put the tool between the box and the console and lever the side of the box inwards away from the centre and the peg should pop out allowing the box to drop fully forward. If it stays held on the outside the same thing applies, but be gentle!! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
