Hello everyone,
It’s a pleasure to be making my first post here on the forum! I’ve recently purchased a 2005 Citroën C4 hatchback as my first car. From what I’ve gathered reading through some threads, it seems to be equipped with the RT3 NaviDrive system.
As this is a second-hand car, it unfortunately didn’t come with any of the original navigation discs. I managed to source a map ISO for East Europe South, and burned it onto a CD using Nero Burning ROM. However, when I insert the disc into the unit, I keep getting a “No CD” message on the screen whenever I try to access the navigation menu.
Would anyone be kind enough to point me in the right direction on what I might be doing wrong? I was genuinely surprised and impressed that this car even came with built-in navigation, and I’d really like to get it working — especially since I’m a new driver and would prefer to avoid relying on my phone while on the road.
I’ve attached a photo of my software version screen (apologies for the dead pixels!) in case that helps identify anything.
Thanks in advance to everyone taking the time to read and help out — I’ll make sure to reply to any suggestions as soon as I can!
Best regard

6.63 is the latest (and last) version of the firmware for CAN vehicles. I can't help any further than that.

Re: Citroën C4 (2005) — RT3 NaviDrive “No CD” Issue with Burned Map Disc
Thanks a lot for the responses so far, everyone!
I’ve been wondering if the issue might actually be related to the CDs I’m using. From what I’ve read, the NaviDrive RT3 should work fine with standard CD-R discs.
These are the discs I’m using: Could the problem be with the type or quality of the CD-Rs, or maybe with how I’m burning the ISO? I’m using Nero Burning ROM, selecting the CD-ROM (ISO) option, checking Finalize disc, then choosing my ISO file. I set the burn speed to the lowest available (16×) — though I’m not sure if that limit comes from my drive, the CD brand, or something else.
Or do i have some bad ISO's , if someone could send me some for testing that would be a lot of help as well
Hopefully this gives a bit more insight into what might be going wrong. Thanks again for taking the time to help — I really appreciate it!

I used to burn ISO CD-r's, not for automotive use but operating system installations, so similar but not the same.CherryBerserker wrote: 10 Oct 2025, 04:47 Thanks a lot for the responses so far, everyone!

I always used K3B to burn the discs and was advised to only us 8x or slower.
Also advised to avoid Maxell discs and use "That's" (Toyo-Uden). Always used their tapes when tape decks were a thing.
They are expensive though.

Re: Citroën C4 (2005) — RT3 NaviDrive “No CD” Issue with Burned Map Disc
Hello everyone,
I believe I may have found the culprit behind this whole issue. It seems that the disc reader in my car isn’t working.
To test my theory, I tried burning a regular audio CD and inserted it into the player — but nothing happened. Pressing the Source button to switch from radio to CD also does nothing, so I’m fairly confident at this point that the main disc drive itself is faulty.
In addition, the CD changer/storage unit under the center armrest also isn’t responding — it neither takes in new CDs nor ejects the old ones.
So it’s looking more and more like both drives might be out of order, which would explain why the navigation discs weren’t being detected in the first place
