Xsara Picasso Panoramic Glass Roof (sunroof 2 parts) fix?

Unread post by MAGIo18 »

Dear Community. I have got a beauiful Xsara Picasso with a huge 2 part glass panoramic roof. Unfortunately neither do the blinds, nor the roof itself move when the motor has been activated, though the cable with two broken plastic parts move accordingly.

I can't really find pictures how it should have looked like before, unfortunately the car came with this issue already. But obviously there are parts missing connecting the motor driven mechanism to the glass and or the sun blinds.

Please see my pictures attached and what or how I can use to make it work again. Ideally without disassembling the whole roof. I found several repair kits, but mostly they refer to broken or snapped cables. What other car had been built on the same platform maybe with the same sunroof mechanism?

Any idea? Thank you for your help. It is much appreciated. Please find my photos attached.

Thank you, but in this Thread they talk about replacing the cables and that it must have snapped. It most certainly did not, as you can see it on my pictures. I would like to see how it actually looks like in working condition, maybe then it is easier to understand what I shall be looking for.
