Hello! I am the somewhat proud and content owner of a 2008 C5 with the 2.0 RFJ engine, unfortunately married to a 5 speed gearbox.
The fuel consumption is horrendous when doing motorway speeds and I was wondering if anyone has or has heard of switching out the transmission to a 6 speed solution. Details are quite scarce around here, mine seems to be one of the few 2 litre petrol vehicles in the country so there's not much to go on.
Any pointers? Perhaps some other PSA vehicle I could look into transplanting one from?
Thanks!

I would suggest you email this company and ask their advice on this: https://www.reconditioned-gearbox.co.uk ... gearboxes/
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

The only way i would consider attempting this is if i had a complete donor car, you will constantly be finding random parts you need to swap over that you never thought of.
Bare minimum off the top of my head you will need the Gearbox & ECU, Wiring harness, gear selector mechanism & cable assembly, Flywheel, Pedal box.
You may find things like coolant outlets on the engine are different to accommodate an oil cooler, the radiator will likely be different too.
You will also need a lot of time.
