Reverse lights

Unread post by Wiggs »

Hi,
Has anyone one had issues with reverse lights, rear parking sensors and rear wipper not working when reverse is engaged?
Thanks

Could be a problem with the reverse switch or its wiring/connector. On our 2016 1.6 hdi Cactus the switch is located on the top of the gear box.

That is very likely. On my second C5 the reversing lights did not work, even though the bulbs were fine. I then replaced the reverse switch, and not only did the lights work, but the car 'bonged' when I engaged reverse gear (I hadn't noticed that this didn't initially happen) and the ventilation system switched to 'Recycle' (to limit the exhaust fumes being drawn into the car).

Yes, I am paranoid, but am I paranoid ENOUGH?

I've put a multimeter on the switch it's working. Voltage to the switch and linked out the switch still no joy.
Thanks for your reply.
