My car flashed an engine management light then a ESP warning then trundled to a halt on the M1 at Scotch Corner. (I live in Glasgow)
Anyway the RAC says its an injector issue, just wondered if anyone had encountered same and if it could be a DIY fix as I had to shell £500 to be towed home.

You need to get a high end diagnostic tool, ideally Diagbox, onto it and see what codes it throws up. If it is an injector then DIY is feasable as may an ECU be depending on your skill level.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: C5 X7 Breakdown
Some of the AA and RAC guys can be rubbish at diagnosis, I once had a car towed in that had bad vibrations and been diagnosed as "Either a collapsed piston or the clutch has fallen apart." It was a broken fan blade, half of it had dropped off..
