Hello,
I had a small accident with my 2017 C4 Grand Picasso and bumped the front. After that, a park assist error appeared. I noticed one of the front sensors was pushed slightly into the bumper, so I removed the bumper and refitted the sensor. However, the error is still showing.
I assume the sensor may be damaged, but my question is: will the error disappear automatically after I replace the sensor, or do I need to go to a service garage to have the system reset?
Thanks in advance,
C4 Grand Picasso 2017

Re: Parking assistance system fault
When you say error, what do you mean? Will a warning light or message on the dashboard disappear? (Quite likely yes). Or will the record of this error occurring disappear from whichever ECU is in control? (No).

You need to get your system read for DTCs (error codes) by a high end diagnostic machine, preferably Diagbox.
