Citroen C5 x7 sensor location

Unread post by Mesersmith »

Hello group.
I have a problem with the front height sensor, which a mechanic who is not related to Citroen came to me with the idea of raising the car by 2cm, which had dropped over time.
But instead of fine-tuning the position of the sensor on the front, he moved it a lot and the car dropped completely. I kept trying to adjust it from the diagbox, but I can't probably because of the current position of the sensor.

Now the car is completely lowered and is untransportable. Does any colleague know where it is and how I can get to the sensor and how I could adjust or change it, without moving the car? I have nowhere to take it, I would need a garage with a pit, but I don't have one.
There are some documentation for this matter?
Please help.
In the meantime, I bought another car, a C5 Aircross, but I have to repair the old one for my wife.
Please help.

The procedure for height adjustment is detailed here: viewtopic.php?t=70745 but that page is restricted to users who have donated £10 or more to the forum running costs (see the donations button in the page header.

I don't understand why people not tell what car and motor they talking about!!
Because if you have a 2.0 there is one sensor in the left front but if it's a 3.0 you have 4 sensors at the lower arms.
In your case i think the mechanic has moved the clamp on the stabilizer as.

Yes, you're right.
I thought that if I had my cars on my profile, they will be in my signature, but it seems like I have to write it my self.

So, my car is C5 2.0 hdi, 2010, automatic.
And thanks for your reply.

Oke, about the problem, i think you have to try find the original position of the clamp by looking if you can see any marks on the stabilizer as.
Otherwise make little adjustments and see if the car reacts, but gif it time, to react.
The hole idear to lift the car by 2 cm is not wise, because you get a car with stiff suspension then.

Thanks for your answer.
I was trying to raise it 2cm because the car get lower height on front and when I measure it, it was 2cm lower than it should be.

It should be around for 37 cm from the ground to the middle of the arch from the fender.
But you should correct this with the diagbox not with change the position of the clamp.
