DS3 Crossback 2019 – Cabin fan stuck on one low speed (blower resistor?)

Unread post by riverbank8666 »

Hi all,

I’ve got a 2019 DS3 Crossback (petrol, UK) and the cabin fan has stopped changing speed. I can turn it on and off from the controls, but whatever setting I choose, the airflow stays at the same very low speed.

From what I’ve read, this usually points to the blower motor resistor/control module failing. I’ve seen a couple of possible PSA/DS part numbers floating around (9833380880 and 1681055380), but I’m not sure which one applies to my exact model. Some sites cross-reference them with Citroën/Peugeot equivalents, but I’d like to confirm what’s correct for the DS Automobiles Crossback.

A couple of questions I was hoping you might help with:

Can anyone confirm the correct part number for the blower resistor on a 2019 Crossback with petrol engine?

Is there any difference between those two numbers, or is one just a supersession of the other?

Has anyone here done the replacement? Any tips on access/removal behind the glovebox would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance — any guidance would be great before I order the part and dive in.

Cheers

Hi and Welcome to the FCF,
Unfortunately we have temporarily lost our access to the Stellantis databases so I cannot advise you. However there are members with their own access and hopefully one of them will see your post and help you out. In the meantime have a look around the forum from the Board Index link under the main banner at the top of the page and join in wherever your interest is spiked!! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
