Battery control moduel

Hello eveyone I replaced the battery about 4 months ago on my c4 Picasso and now have gremlins in the system I have been told I need to replace battery control module at a cost of 600 pounds. It just sound very storage changing the battery would cause this. I was thinking of trying a new battery and see if that would do it if I got the wrong battery on it. Also can I do this diy instead of going to a garage.

More info needed, was the replacement battery the same power rating? Was it a new battery? Which engine have you got, which year is the car?

When you changed the battery did you follow the correct Disconnection / Reconnection procedure? You could do this anyway now as it's zero cost.

It's a c4 Picasso 2016 1.6hdi auto yes I have and had some one plug it in to do the battery change and tried the mothers you mentioned. Dose the battery control unit need to be re programmed or is it a plug in and do the battery recent procedure. My vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
The battery that's in it is a 076 lf096 agm start stop battery 70ah 760a.
