Hello,
I have a DS7 E-Tense 4x4 2020 300HP, Rivoli pack.
I've a question regarding the key fob, how much range do you have for lock unlock?
Because I need to be at maximum of 4 meters away from the car for the key unlock/lock to work.
I've tried already to change the battery and i don't have any key case.
Keyless function is working ok. No problem on that.
Anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

Re: Key fob range very small
I found the maximum range varies considerably over all the equipped cars I have owned. My current car is very poor, 3 metres at the most but I had one C5 that worked from a good 20 metres away in a car park. If you have a new battery in the fob and a good battery in the car it will be what it will be. If you are unhappy with it I'd suggest you replace it and see how that works.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I'm very sceptical about this but allegedly, if you hold your key near your head, it increases the range.
Don't be too disappointed if it doesn't work as it sounds very much an urban legend.
I have never tried it, never felt the need.
My C5 keys worked from about 30 M away, only used it to open and close the windows from my house to where it was parked. Not needed for subsequent cars as they haven't had this option.

I can confirm that it does work. The lock function has a greater range than the unlock function, so you do not accidentally unlock the vehicle when you put the keys in your pocket.myglaren wrote: 23 Aug 2025, 20:29 I'm very sceptical about this but allegedly, if you hold your key near your head, it increases the range.

Re: Key fob range very small
On our cars if you unlock the doors with the fob, if you do not open a door then it will lock itself about 30 seconds later. Hence accidental unlocking does not matter much unless you want to dead lock it which may need 2 presses on the fob lock button depending on the car.

Thanks for all comments, I'll see about this issue or if it's indeed intended.
