Unread post by Richyv »

Hello, my name is Richard and i have a question.
Can somebody help me with a diagram for the hydraulic pipes for my Citroen Cx 2500 GTi year 1987.
I am also looking for a Felsset with the adaptor size 3.50 mm
And also a company who sale these pipes.

Hi Richard and welcome.

I can't help with a diagram although I'm pretty sure someone else will be able to, but I can suggest you contact this company who are well known here and will be able to help I'm sure: https://www.chevronics.co.uk/product/cx ... -26232299/ :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Ok just a few points of clarification please.
When you say break I think you brake? That’s not me being pedantic, it’s because ‘break’ can be used on a CX to mean the estate (Safari or Familiale) version rather than saloon. And as you say yours is a 2500 GTi and they didn’t make an estate version with GTi trim, I assume it’s a saloon that you have? It does matter though, because there can be differences in the hydraulic circuits.

The next important question is does your car have ABS or not? (The hydraulic brake circuit is different for a car with ABS to one without and it was not standard on CXs, it was optional equipment).

Last question: is it a parts diagram you are looking for, or simply a schematic of the hydraulic circuit showing what pipe is connected where etc?

As for suppliers of 3.5mm pipe - is this the metal pipes you are looking and a flaring tool to make them up?
You can buy a good flaring tool here:
https://abtoolsonline.com/collections/f ... lines-fl01
(I think you can potentially make a suitable flaring tool up using individual dies and one of the other tools they do, more cheaply but I don’t know for sure which - I have the one above)

You can buy the pipe, fittings and seals here:
