Peugeot 308 SW 2014 radio issue
Hi all, I am looking for some help with my radio unit. It suddenly stopped working and all i hear from it is a noise from it as if it has a CD stuck in it. The navigation head unit screen opens and closes as normal but no display and the radio wont even turn on. Hope some one could help me with this

The first thing to do is check the fuse in the fusebox, you will find a list of the fuses at: https://fuseandrelay.com/peugeot/308.html
Once you are happy that the unit is getting power then you will need the system reset via a BSi reset procedure: viewtopic.php?p=601679#p601679 and then run a global diagnostic check with a suitable high end diagnostic tool. Post the codes up here and hopefully someone will be able to help out from there.

Re: Peugeot 308 SW 2014 radio issue
This year the touch screen on our 2019 308 stopped working, just showing the Peugeot logo. The radio and heating were all stuck at the last settings/station. Pulling the screen fuse to reset it did not help (suggested from searches). A diagnostic at the dealer and them trying to download the software not working showed it needed a new radio. This cost £1500 including the labour to fit it and configuring of which £1300 was the radio part cost. It got the latest maps but these still seem a bit out of date.
If you go for a used radio it will need configuring for your car.

Re: Peugeot 308 SW 2014 radio issue
This must be a Mk1 308 as that looks like an RT6 unit to me. I could be wrong on this but I think there's also a fuse at the back of the RT6 which you have to pull out before you can even check it!

I tried the fuse but it seems ok. If you are saying there is a fuse at the back and if that fuse is where the problem is, will it still make a the cd stuck noise?

Hmm, no you're right. If there's no power because of blown fuse then the CD mechanism won't operate.

Re: Peugeot 308 SW 2014 radio issue
Just spoke to a guy who told me the symptoms of the issue just when I told him what the radio was doing. He said it needs a chip in the radio replaced and would cost me £250. Its about 2 hours work is what he tells me. He sounded like he knows what he is talking about.

If you decide to go for this repair and if it works then it would be good to give the chap some publicity here.

Re: Peugeot 308 SW 2014 radio issue
Hi i managed to get this problem sorted quite simply. All It needed was a firmware update using a original CD. I have attached a picture of the CD, hopefully this helps others.

Hi. Thanks - this is really helpful. Do you have a step-by-step instruction/ installation guide that you can share, please? Or do you just insert the CD in the player? Thank you
