Peugeot Expert Sump Plug Washer

Unread post by Dr_Dave_1961 »

I appreciate the facility to request part numbers has been suspended for now but I'm hoping this is an easy one for someone 'in the know' to answer off the top of their head.

My 2019 Peugeot Expert 1.6 HDi (115hp) is dripping oil from the sump plug. It's probably due an oil change so rather than try and tighten up the sump plug I might as well do an oil and filter change and replace the washer. Rather than take the washer off to check the dimensions and then try and get the part locally I'd rather have one to hand before I do the work. I've looked online and parts websites are giving me a choice of options for inner diameter/outer diameter/thickness. I've lost faith in my local motor factor after I asked for a crush washer for my Kadjar and the guy told me they can't be had anywhere and suggest I try an ironmonger. I nipped up to the nearest Renault dealer and the guy in the parts department gave me a couple and didn't charge me. They had loads in stock. Two opposing examples of customer service.

I'd be grateful if anyone can give me a steer in the right direction with the correct washer.

Thanks in advance.

If you have a Peugeot dealer nearby I would go there. For our Citroens I have always used the dealer, their washers have always been a lot cheaper than elsewhere and have been the correct ones. I also get the oil filters there, they might be a bit dearer than other places but again are the right ones/spec. Whilst there, get an up to date service schedule from the service people, it should not cost anything, and it will have the latest oil spec since they keep being changed.

Thanks for the info. I've ordered a new drain plug and washer from Parts in Motion who have confirmed the parts are compatible with the info they have for my vehicle and I can return it for free and get a refund if it doesn't fit.
