307 horn

My girlfriends 2001 307 is due its first MOT next month and it will fail as its horn does not work all the time.
The dealer told her that the horn only works when the steering wheel is in certain positions!!! Thats handy!!!
I cannot see why it should work intermittently? Any help would be appreciated.

i would imagine that the connections are crap. i havent worked on the 307 yet but its probably got a clock spring unit similar to the xantia with steering wheel radio control.go dealer to get an opinion and price coz i could be wrong.although i dont like to admit it.
