Electric dispatch not charging AC or DC

Unread post by AndrewBM »

Hey first time posting here but also first time owning French. I don’t want you to think I’m posting to get all I can from you guys. I look to help and share my knowledge.

I’ve recently purchased a dispatch that failed to charge the next day. The charge port cycles continuously with the dashboard showing charge complete and charging cycling.

This led me to download diagbox and get the hardware needed. Fortunately, no error codes on the BMS so the battery looks to be good, but there are lots of error codes on the on board charger.

Then checking out on Google that these on board charges fail I suspect I need to change the on board charger. Simple enough for me. However, I’m led to believe that it needs to be coded using diagbox. This is something I would love to be able to do and potentially show off how it works to the Internet.

Failing that, I need to find somebody that is not a stealership who can code a used replacement 11 kW on board charger.

The stealership currently has the vehicle and I’m fighting over warranty :-D . I reported the issue before the warranty expired but they claim warranty doesn’t apply because it’s run out if I replace the part they’re not happy to work on coding it. They will only code a new part they install. I swear modern vehicles are becoming harder and harder for us to repair and it really puts me off them.

I’ve replaced on board charges on other vehicles and had no need to code them. Very frustrating.

Is there anyone out there with experience in these areas that might be able to shed some light on the things I don’t yet know?

I look forward to hearing from you all, Andrew. :-D

Hello Andrew and welcome to the forum. I agree with you entirely about modern vehicles which is why mine are 21 and 29 years old :-D Unfortunately I cannot offer any help other than to advise you to press the dealership into doing the recode as you have saved them money by doing the install without claiming. Good luck :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

I'll keep applying pressure. I cant wait for more aftermarket solutions to come about.

The ultimate rub it in there face would be a non dealer doing the coding. :rofl2:
