Hi,
I read different post but im not exactly sure if i have same problem, even if fault seems same..
So I had my DS5 only since end of March. After few weeks, had that fault "electrical circuit fault, have your vehicle repaired "
Took it to the garage fir diagnostic, they said, there's lots faults, and to get to the bottom of it itd be £200 then repairs.. then I took it to Citroën, as they diagnostic was better deal.. they said I need new battery management unit.. im waiting for part to be ordered.. so its been pretty much 2 months now, I get fault every time I turn engin on.. but thats it, it doesn't affect anything (I think). Is it worth to fix it? What can happen if I just leave it be?
Im not planning on keeping this car for very long...max a year.

Re: DS5 Electrical circuit fault
This type of issue gives you the basic dilemma, if you leave it the best that can happen is you keep getting the problem when you turn on and then you'd be wise to mention it to potential new buyers when you decide to sell it. On the other hand possibly the worst that could happen would be for the car to burst into flames on the motorway and cause a terrible accident. Obviously there are many other possibilities in between. The two things I would say is that if you leave it any future possible warranty issues will be voided, and you may end up having to repair it in order to move it on. So I'd be tempted to repair it now in order to get some value yourself in your expenditure as well as to avoid the worst scenario!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

A few on here have had a new BSM, I suspect they are not that expensive to want to try and live without having it fixed.

Re: DS5 Electrical circuit fault
Probably the main relay is stuck in the closed position. This is only really used to disconnect the battery when not in use to prevent drain, so it probably doesn't matter if you are not suffering excess drain. If it sticks in the open position you can't start the car...
