first time posting , i have an interesting "problem" and need help.
The problem is there is a particular fitting on the top left of the engine to a coolant pipe that has a crack in it. I've taken it to multiple mechanics ( i live in Australia 508's aren't super common ) and no one can figure out what the part is. No one wants to take the part off for fear of damaging it more and making the car completely undrivable.
I have searched the internet and found the service diagrams for both the coolant and heating systems for this engine in the 508 and I cant even identify the pipe in those diagrams but none of those diagrams have any fittings for the pipes either!
Im hoping someone can give guidance /advice.
In the second and third images you can see the part i need to find, its a plastic fitting fixed to the engine via torx screws and then the pipe is connected to it with standard clips. it hard to get a good photo because of all the cabling that runs over the top of it
