308 AdBlue Tank Coding

Unread post by dsgoody »

Hi all,

I originally posted here (viewtopic.php?p=841670#p841670) assessing my options for a replacement or AdBlue tank fix. I ended up picking up a cheap second hand tank from a similar age car, since right now I don't have the time to be fiddling around with pressure sensors.

I've fitted the tank, fired up Diagbox 9.150 and when selecting to option to tell the car it's had a replacement AdBlue tank all I get is;
Conditions of execution not satisfied
Follow the procedure below:
- Start the operation again
- In the event of reoccurrence, contact the technical assistance platform.
I have keyless entry, so I have placed the key in the reader in front the the OBD port, but this has made no difference.

Any suggestions? A quick Google seems to indicate this might be because this is a telecoding function; which I'm surprised by when the third party tools seem to do it do problem (like in the O'Rileys Autos video). It seems unless I spend thousands in diagnostic tools, I'm always going to be missing some functionality.

Does anyone have a solution?

Cheers.

I had a few goes at doing this with my DS 3, I’m sure it wants you to do a test on the system and you can also bleed the system in diagbox, then tried recoding using “Repair” then into Reinislised of the AdBlue systems…

I've noticed in some occasions that trying different version of Diagbox, does the job.At least for my car model. Currently i'm using 9.186 with no problems.For example, with 9.150 ver. i couldn't reset the gearbox wear counter.So, give it a try.

An update to 9.186 has resolved my issues, thanks. I think this might be my new favourite version, since it reliably clears the engine codes as well (previously I had to use FAPLite for this).

It remains to be seen if my AdBlue tank is actually working or not, but it is now coded to the car and I can read values from it with no error codes about a missing tank.
