Does anyone know if the electric is prepared for electric seats? Is it possible to take electric seats from another C5 and mount in a C5 that got manual seats?
Or is there a DIY to make this change?

Change from manual til electric seats on a C5 2011?

I did in one of my C5s, the 2002 one I think.
It was quite simple owing to the looms and sockets being already in place.
The only thing I had to buy apart from the seats was a Maxi fuse.
Do check that there are electrical connections in place before embarking on the conversion though.

Sounds great! Will check the connections and compare when I'll inspects the electric seats.myglaren wrote: 17 Jun 2025, 18:11 I did in one of my C5s, the 2002 one I think.

Why a maxi fuse? For the fuse box or did you install it under the seat?

In the 'hidden' fuse box under the main under bonnet one. None was fitted originally as the car didn't have electric seats. Also there was one in the glovebox fuse box, a 30A I think and the Maxi fuse was 80A.Snaileater wrote: 17 Jun 2025, 19:54Sounds great! Very do-able in a Mk1 C5 (I did it also) since they fully wired the main loom in the car, but I wouldn't assume they've done the same for an X7 so definitely do check your car before you commit to buying the electric seats etc!

I have my doubts as to whether full integration would work as the X7's electric seats also have driver memory. That means you'd need the relevant ECU and the buttons on the driver's door as well as the looms that go to the seat and door. You might be able to get away with just having electrical adjustment with no memory, but I wouldn't bank on it.

Very good point ref the electric seats on an x7 - different to a mk 1 (or 2?) where there is no memory control, they're just independent 'self-contained' seats.
