Hi folks I’m wondering if someone can help me.
My car is 1.6 hdi c4 coupe
I changed my injector seals about a month ago along with the studs and used m7 nyloc nuts as @matblancs posted he did in an old post on here.
The problem I have is a milky fluid keeps appearing around the injectors. I have wrapped the hard fuel lines in blue tissue-no leaks. It doesn’t smell of strong diesel either. I cannot see anything that could be causing it!
I tourqed the injectors down to 10nm. Could this be the problem? To tight?
Any input to my problem appreciated
Thanks

Re: Milky substance
Generally 'milky substance' is oil and water mixed. I would suggest looking for sources of both. Not sure how the rocker cover is sealed from/around the injectors on your engine but check for leaks from there. Water could be coolant, rain or carwash source. Next tiny leak of compression gasses around injectors mixing up the fluid around the injector base and causing the creamy substance. Not a specific answer, apologies for that, but a few ideas to consider.
My mind is like my browser. Six pages open one stuck and I have no idea where the music comes from!!

Number 2 injector hard pipe was leaking fuel,
Bought a new harness from my local Citroen dealership (£86) and jobs a good un. Pain in the arse to fit but got it done in a couple of hours.
