The adblue system...! Fault lights and warning aboUt x hundred miles until starting disabled WHILST IN france on route to Switz. I was caught out on holiday and landed up at a Citroën dealer Flury in Stans Switzerland, very helpful, tidy and organized, and no charge for checking the system and clearing errors. The mechanic informed me the vehicle had a new tank fitted 5 yrs ago.
The error returned on my return journey, bought a powerful decrystalliser in France.... 200 miles later all errors cleared. I was sweating as the countdown was 500 miles until starting disabled. After this experience and the stress involved i wanted to check out the injector nozzle. Unable to find info about how to reach it on this forum, I PLUNGED in and now I know I want to share with you. The nozzle is located centrally and to the back of the engine. Super super hard to reach. Appalling design. Remove using allen key.
I cleaned it in situ with hot distilled water, no need for nasty chemicals. To reinsert it I used string to hold the nozzle in place, and electrical tape to hold the 2 sides of the clamp together. This job took hours, especially reinsertion, it is impossible to get 2 hands in there. My car was set up on the drive with front wheels on wooded blocks, suspension raised full with only 3 or 4 inch clearance from my face to the subframe. Numerous trips under the car and out again to fetch stuff.
Please see the pics, I had to remove the black bar (2 nuts with 13mm ring spanner) to give a little more space. Best wishes, Zac

Re: CITROEN C5 X7 2015 Adblue injector
Many of us add Wynns crystal clean and protect when filling up the Adblue to try to avoid injector/tank problems.
