Crankshaft camshaft synchronisation NO

Hi. Im doing an engine conversion on my talbot express motorhome.
Im using an hdi engine with bosch single plug ecu edc15c2.
I can't get crank cam synchronisation. I've continuity checked every wire. I have new sensors. There is 5v at cam sensor. Crank rpm is showing on Peugeot planet 2000.
The non synchronisation was showing as a fault but not any more. It's just when I go to parameters its says synchronisation no.
Any input however small or seemingly irrelevant will be appreciated.
Yes the timing is spot on. Engine was running well from donor vehicle cos I drove it to my yard.

Did you fit a new cambelt while it was out? Is this the later version without the vernier pulley on the cam - and if so did you lock the crank when working on the pulley bolt?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I fitted a gates full kit. Also changed pump to an r70. Timing lines up spot on. No vernier pulley. It's an old Peugeot 306 rhy engine.
