Ds7 boot lock

Unread post by KeithE »

Hi guys and girls
I've just come back to this site.
I haven't used it for a while because Mrs E sold her DS3.
However, I'm back because I need help.
I've just bought a 21 plate DS7 1.5 diesel. Prestige trim according to the V5.

What I'm wondering is; should the boot unlock without me needing to unlock the doors first?
Obviously, with the keys in proximity I can just grab the door handle and open the door, or doors and lock them again by touching the handle in the correct place.
Should I be able to operate the boot opening in the same way? It's not electrically operated opening.
I've set the selective door unlocking to " drivers door only" to off.
Also what is the purpose of the small round button next to the boot release switch above the number plate?
I've rtfm but it doesn't make it clear regarding the boot release.

Cheers everyone.

I would imagine it's an option in the settings menu, something like vehicle access/selective unlocking.
You'll probably see options like drivers door only, all doors, not tailgate.

Thanks, but I've already tried that.
The only unlocking option is drivers door only on or off. I've selected off.
Maybe the car is broken.
I've only had it a week and I'm still getting to grips with it.
