Emissions fault Adblue 2021 Peugeot Partner

Unread post by JDM1972 »

I had a major service at 43k miles and Mot after around driving the van for around 200 miles the engine light came on saying fix needed then adblue light started flashing and emissions fault came up on screen. Vans had all dealer services.

You need to use a fault code reader to see what is wrong. Could be the NOx sensor or something else but is not likely to be related to the service. Do not start replacing parts without the fault code check since parts can be expensive so it is false economy hoping to get it right without wasting too much money.

Put van in today this is what it had done :
Exhaust System and Catalyst : £ 544.56
Catalytic Fluid (Urea) Injector - Needs Replacing, Technicians Notes: Diesel Particulate Filter - Needs a Forced Regeneration. 0.5. Adblue injector faulty, replacement required

They finished the work and said I’d have to come back tomorrow as the engine light was still on saying a wiring fault, so I agreed got in the van drove it down the road, Adblue light flashing again and Emissions fault warning starting impossible in 150 miles

Looks as if you need to replace the Adblue injector/tank asap since once it counts down to 0 miles the engine will be prevented from starting. Expect a large bill for this, could be around £1000. When you fill the Adblue tank it might be a good idea to ad Wynn's Crystal Clean and Protect to help avoid Adblue crystals building up.

Not sure why you would have to replace the exhaust and catalyst at such low miles so maybe they found faults with them. Do you do a lot of short trips that may be causing the dpf to block up and not regenerate whilst driving but at 43k miles in 4 years I suspect not ?

Sounds like they haven't reinitialised the denox system as it should start counting down from 650/700 miles.

Maybe I have read the posts wrong, but it reads as though nothing has been done to the denox system so far, only saying it needs to be done.

You're right. I conflated the service being done with the Adblue problem. In which case it's no surprise that the countdown is still progressing.
