Sphere seals

Unread post by superloopy »

Guys, where can I acquire reasonably priced sphere seals? Quick look on eBay and shysters are asking £20 PER SEAL!!
I have a number of spheres so am looking for around a sets worth, 10ish. I know that what's there can probably be reused but as they are the originals thought I'd look around, get back in the game so to speak. So, if anyone knows a supplier ...

Do Citroen parts still do them ?....same as C5/C6

LOTS of places in France do them for about 2-5.Euro per seal...if you can wait :)

In all my time of playing with hydraulic Citroens I've only ever renewed one - and that was because it was cut.

If they look and feel OK they're good to reuse ad-infinitum... Ditto rubber hydraulic pipe seals; the ones that look like little rubber cylinders with a hole in them.

The only seals to replace on-sight are the O rings on the hydraulic pump... O Rings go hard. Sphere seals and pipe seals in my experience don't so much...
