P2670 acceleration pedal fault

Unread post by Salis123 »

Hi, I’ve been having an intermittent fault on Grand C4 Picasso 2014 plate for a year now. I get engine warning light, tyre pressure warning, anti rollback, esp warning. The car then goes in to horrible limp mode of max 1200 rpm and crawls 8mph.

This can happen whilst on the drive when first starting but has happened whilst driving for less then 10 mins. Otherwise it hasn’t as yet failed after that 10 min period.

Connecting the diagbox when the car is in error it several faults

Had pin test done and several hours at garages to get repaired. The fix that seemed to work for 5 months was to replace the accelerator pedal. Tried a 2nd hand one and worked for a while but errored again so splashed out and got a new one from Citroen. After 5 months thought it was all good but fault came back. Cleared once but came back a month later. Fault cleared but came back after a short while. Cleared every fault and at the moment working again.

Could the pedal have gone faulty. Car the car in any way break these pedals. Anyone else had similar issues.

Help would be appreciated as currently no faith in car.

Ok update just incase it helps anyway one else.

Currently had clutch master cylinder changed and this appears to have resolved issue. Removing sensor and 5v feed returned to normal. Had the whole unit swapped and this appears to have fixed the issue.

On another note as I didn't know the limp mode was 8mph in first gear, i found if I changed up gear I could get more speed so managed to get to 30 in 4th. I didn't realise this as I was changing down as I thought I was lossing power. Just mentioning in case it helps anyone.
