Hello! I recently have a problem with my car — the engine fan turns on as soon as I insert the key into the ignition, even without starting the engine. I replaced the water thermostat, but it still does the same thing. I also replaced the air flow meter, but nothing changed. Error code is :
P0483 -Cooling integrated into ECU (FRIC) Open circuit or temperature too high
Someone told me it might be a faulty BSI or ECU. I’ve attached a picture of the error.
The engine fan turns on when I insert the key into the ignition and doesn’t stop.

This seems similar to the problem I had last week. But what model is it and what engine? Mine is C5X7 2.0 hdi 2008. And the fan used to switch on at full speed for 5 seconds after I open the door and would repeat after turning on the ignition. Long story short: I just replaced the fan and now find it works normally. I think it's caused by some fans that have an internal speed controller failing. The old fan on mine was rusty at the motor housing. It stopped working completely in the end.

Need to have a look in the live data to see what it thinks the engine temp is, that will tell you if it's a sensor or fan fault.

My car is C5 III break 1.6 hdi 2009
I changed the fan, and it’s still doing the same thing it runs continuously; as soon as I put the key in the ignition, it starts at full speed.
The temp sensor it’s new and working on live data…

It could be just something stupid like a bad battery! Had that on parents C3.
Driving Citroen is a diagnose!

This sounds familiar to blower issue, which is resolved by a resistor, doesn't the engine fan have a resistor too, that funny coil like one?

I went to the service, and they told me there is a wire that is either broken or touching the car body, but they couldn’t identify it.…
