Citroen Dispatch 1.6 Hdi wiper intermittent

Hi, I have the above van, the front wipers work sometimes and not others, they also judder when in off position, I have been told could be the wiper relay? I have hunted high and low for this, please someone tell me where it is? I did find 2 drivers side, I removed these and sprayed with WD40 not sure if these are them though? A picture would be great though, thanks in advance.

Juddering in the off position could be the wiper shaft being partially seized so it can't get to it's home postion. If you press them down does it stop? I had this on my Dispatch (2010). The wiper arms are connented to the wiper motor rods by way of a balljoint that can be flicked off. This leaves each wiper disconnected from the motor. Now each wiper can be moved by hand to check for binding.

Thanks for the reply sometimes the wipers do not work at all also, then they come back on but don't work on all speeds.

Do you know where the relay is for the wipers? a picture would be great.

Moved to Citroen.

There is no separate relay as such, the wipers are computer controlled and the relay is integral to the under bonnet fuse box. It sounds a bit more like a mechanical fault than an electrical one, but you'd need to get in at the motor to see if it has power and earth first.

Hi, the wipers do work some of the time, just not always, I had a day they did not work then the next day they did but not all speeds.

I would be getting another wiper motor considering it is 14 years old and probably worn out inside. My experience of wipers when it has been intermittent running, not parking properly, starting on their own, not stopping - fixed by fitting another used motor to keep the cost down.
