BVH2 Fuel Additive Dosing Tank

Unread post by Beanster666 »

Good evening.
After some advice/help please. My 63 plate Citroen C4 Picasso has shown up a diesel particulate fluid low fault! I have done some research on here and also located the tank, I realise that I will need to re-fill and then reset the levels, the tank has BVH2 Fuel Additive Dosing Tank 1,01 (9674605580) on it. Soooo my questions are.

1. What fluid do I need to top up with? As I have just found some information saying EOLYS Powerflex but then another for the part number on my tank saying AdBlue!?
2. What's the best/easiest/cheapest kit for resetting the levels using a laptop/lead combo?

All help is gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

That additive tank is for Adblue not Eolys which is a seperate system. You need a tool that can access the maintenance menu so you can reset the levels. Diagbox is the recommended tool which is available from Easy Diagnostics. :)

The fuel additive will be Eolys, surely? Adblue isn't added to the diesel, it's sprayed into the exhaust system.

From the information you posted I would agree it's Powerflex and you'll need only 1l of it. What I don't know for sure is whether it's the pouch or refill system. This post would seem to show that it's the refill system though.

Indeed Paul the additive fault is for the Eolys, I was just pointing out that the part number quoted was for the Adblue tank not the Eolys tank/pouch! :-D
