High fuel consumption DS5

Hi

I was getting 51mpg yesterday filled up today reset trip gone down to 38mpg it was esso fuel.

Any ideas why the reduction could it be dpf regen?

Was the 51 mpg on a single trip or a longer term average ?

Hi

Single trip long term average is 48mpg.

Taken my wife to work this morning and it averaged 49mpg

So not sure why the drop

How far did you travel from the fill-up to your home? What sort of roads and how many stops, traffic lights and roundabouts are there? Was the engine still relatively cold?
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Same journey picking my wife up.
A roads not many stops 15 miles

If the engine was still cold that could explain it. If it was hot then, yes, providing the speed was high enough it could have started regeneration. Otherwise don't know. An average over only 15 miles from reset can be very variable.

I'm only getting 40.8 mpg on local routes and almost same on long motorway trips, HDI150 manual.

It seems to be back to normal fingers crossed

Are you resetting the trip in between journeys or is that a cumulative figure?
