hi 207cc
i have removed and replaced the faulty rear parkings sensors ( requiring removal of the rear light clusters) and also the drivers side seat for a cushion repair ( requiring disconnecting the air bag connector plug under the seat. ( done with battery disconnected.
now its back together i get messages for faulty indicators and also air bag fault light
can i reset this without a diagnostics tool, if not can you recommend a suitable tool
diagnostics reset necessary?

If the battery was disconnected for the entire time that you had the airbag connector disconnected, then the ECU should not have detected a fault, and there is probably something else going on, but you may need a diagnostics session to find out what.

Even if you had accidently switched the ignition on with the battery connected & the unit unplugged yes it would log a fault code but the warning lamp would normally go back out by itself after a couple of cycles of the ignition on & off assuming the connection was back to normal.
I would go back over your work & re check connections.

If it doesn’t auto-clear after a few cycles like wheeler suggests and you can’t find anything wrong by basic fault finding then you would need a diagnostic tool in order to see what the fault codes are saying the cause is anyway, regardless of wanting to reset it.
The best one to get would be diagbox (the official PSA diagnostic tool) which you can purchase from easydiagnostics, but if if you don’t want to spend that amount of money, then something like this should be able to do what you need for this fault.
Note: I can’t confirm that one will definitely do it based on personal experience with that tool and your car, but on specs and knowing what some friends have used that one for, it should be ok.
